THROAT CHAKRA

THROAT CHAKRA (5th chakra)
Color : aqua blue
Sanskrit : Vishuddha
Role : Communication - Expression

WHAT IS THE THROAT CHAKRA?
The Vishuddha chakra is located in the middle of the throat, approximately at the height of the uvula. It is the center of communication and personal expression. When the throat chakra is balanced, one can express oneself easily, with confidence. The more this chakra is open, the more one can express oneself with subtlety, diplomacy and kindness.
UNBALANCED THROAT CHAKRA
Unfortunately, this chakra tends to shut down in people who have lived in an environment where they could not express their feelings/opinions. We also see a blocked throat chakra in people who were unable to assert their identity or their limits when they were younger. The person ends up repressing her/his feelings, her/his ideas, no longer dares to express her/himself for fear of being judged or ridiculed.
BLOCKED THROAT CHAKRA

When the throat chakra is underactive or blocked, communication becomes difficult. We see the appearance of introverted behavior, often accompanied by shyness in speaking in public, difficulty in taking one's place and/or in expressing one's limits.

On the contrary, in the case of an over-active throat chakra, the words come out impulsively or without thinking.
The person will often speak more talkatively and may tend to speak emotionally; then, all the repressed emotions come out with intensity.
There are several signs that are associated with an imbalanced throat chakra, here are a few:
